Who will join The Doctor once Amy and Rory have gone?

As announced in December 2011, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill will leave the programme during the 33rd series in 2012, paving the way for a new female companion to join The Doctor on his adventures. So far, there has been no definite news concerning casting, but here are is my own list of actresses whom I would like to see sharing lead billing with Matt Smith.

Linzey Cocker ('Waterloo Road', 'Salvage')
Charlie May-Clark ('Just Henry', 'Clubbed')
Angela Holmes ('Shameless', 'Goldplated')
Shannon Tarbet ('Spur Of The Moment', 'George Gently')
Jessica Brown-Findlay ('Downton Abbey', 'Albatross')
Kirsty Leigh Porter ('Ashes To Ashes', 'The Bad Mother's Handbook')
Chelsie Padley (Tati's Hotel, 'The Story Of Tracy Beaker')
Eleanor Turner-Moss ('Towards Zero', 'Wild Child')

Hopefully, we won't have long to wait before an official announcement is made about who will take over from Karen. Once it is, I will post details here.
